What should I pay attention to when upgrading the KS-200A+?

Please note the following before and during the upgrade process:

  1. Before upgrading, log in to the KS-200A+ web configuration interface and make sure the AIS Connection Status shows OK.
  2. For version V1.7.2 and earlier, disconnect the N2K cable before starting the upgrade. Reconnect the N2K cable only after the upgrade has been completed successfully.
  3. If you are upgrading from version V1.3.5 or earlier to a version later than V1.3.13, you must first upgrade to V1.3.13 as an intermediate version, and then upgrade to the higher version.
  4. Do not interrupt the upgrade process under any circumstances.

Does the KS-200A+ support receiving GNSS data input through NMEA?

The KS-200A+ AIS transponder features a built-in GNSS positioning module and must be connected directly to a GNSS antenna to obtain positioning signals. It does not support receiving external GNSS data input through the NMEA interface.

Can the KS-200A+ receive NMEA 0183/NMEA 2000 data from other devices and forward it via the serial port or Wi-Fi?

The KS-200A+ is an AIS transponder with NMEA 2000 (N2K) data forwarding capability. It can only forward its own AIS data and GPS positioning data to external devices through the N2K interface or Wi-Fi port. It does not support receiving or processing input data from external devices.
